1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DreadNot (“the Service”), operated by Attimo Labs LLC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
DreadNot is an AI-powered email translation service that intercepts forwarded emails and rewrites them in a calmer tone for delivery to the user. The Service also includes AI-assisted reply drafting, feedback on user-written drafts, a compose feature for sending new emails, and a communication skills curriculum. The Service is designed to reduce emotional distress associated with reading hostile communications.
3. Not a Legal, Safety, or Mental Health Service
DreadNot is a communication tool only. It is not a substitute for legal advice, mental health counseling, domestic violence services, or law enforcement. If you are in danger, contact emergency services immediately. If you are experiencing domestic violence or abuse, contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 or text START to 88788.
4. AI-Generated Content
Translated emails, draft replies, and feedback are generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may not perfectly capture all nuances, context, or factual details of original messages. You should not rely solely on translated versions for legal, financial, or time-sensitive matters. Original emails are stored in your DreadNot account and can be viewed through your dashboard. They are also retained by your email provider in your archive (Gmail’s All Mail folder, or Outlook’s Archive).
DreadNot identifies potential communication patterns in incoming emails (such as baiting, manipulation, or boundary violations) to help you recognize dynamics in your situation. These pattern labels are generated by AI for awareness purposes only. They are not clinical diagnoses, professional assessments, or legal determinations. DreadNot is not a licensed counseling, psychology, or legal service. If you need professional guidance on your situation, please consult a qualified therapist, attorney, or domestic violence advocate.
5. Email Provider Access
Gmail users: To enable the send-on-your-behalf feature, DreadNot requests permission to send emails from your Gmail account (the gmail.send scope). This permission is used to deliver replies and composed emails through DreadNot so that your correspondent does not see DreadNot in the exchange. We do not read, modify, or delete your Gmail messages. You may revoke this permission at any time from your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Outlook users: DreadNot requests the Mail.Send permission via Microsoft OAuth to send emails from your Outlook address. This permission is used for the same purpose — delivering replies and composed emails so your correspondent only sees your normal email address. We do not read, modify, or delete your Outlook messages. You may revoke this permission at any time from your Microsoft account settings.
6. Email Integration
Using the Service requires you to configure forwarding rules in your own email account (Gmail, Outlook, or other supported providers). You are solely responsible for how you configure your email settings. DreadNot does not access your email account directly to read messages and does not store your email credentials.
7. Compose Feature
DreadNot includes a compose feature that allows you to draft and send new emails through your Gmail or Outlook account via the DreadNot interface. Emails sent through this feature are delivered using the same send-on-your-behalf permission described in Section 5. The compose feature may include AI-assisted drafting and feedback tools. You are solely responsible for the content of messages you send.
8. User Accounts
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to process emails containing illegal content, to harass or stalk others, or for any purpose that violates applicable law. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise misuse the Service.
10. Email Storage and Retention
Both original and translated emails, along with message metadata, replies, drafts, and feedback, are stored in your account and accessible from your dashboard. Original emails are also retained by your email provider in your archive. We retain data as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for maintaining your own records for legal purposes.
11. Payment and Subscription
After a 14-day free trial, continued use of the Service requires a paid subscription. DreadNot offers two subscription tiers:
The Shield — protects against one sender, with Ace as your assigned Guide. Includes weekly communication tips and the ability to reply from your dashboard or regular email.
The Sanctuary — protects against unlimited senders, with your choice of six expert Guides (switchable at any time). Includes AI-assisted reply drafting, feedback on your drafts, a full communication skills curriculum from all six Guides, and all Shield features.
Current pricing is listed on our website at dreadnot.email. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually and may be cancelled at any time. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to active subscribers.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or for any other reason at our discretion with reasonable notice. You may cancel your account at any time from your dashboard settings. Upon cancellation, your data will be retained for 90 days to allow for reactivation, after which it will be deleted. You may request immediate deletion by contacting support@dreadnot.email.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free translations, or that all emails will be received and processed. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Attimo Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages resulting from missed communications or reliance on AI-generated content.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify active subscribers of material changes by email.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
